From Sweden to Poland in just over 8 hours on a windsurfing board!
Maciek Rutkowski – world champion and 20-time Polish champion – has accomplished what once seemed impossible. As part of his “Mission Baltic,” he windsurfed from Sandhamn, Sweden, to Władysławowo, Poland, covering an astonishing 227.5 km across the Baltic Sea in just 8 hours and 28 minutes.

Along the way, Rutkowski reached speeds of up to 55 km/h, battling waves, wind, and his own physical limits. “It was the greatest adventure of my life and the fulfillment of a sporting dream,” Rutkowski said after reaching the shore.
“Mission Baltic” also carried a charitable purpose. The athlete dedicated his crossing to support fundraising efforts for young Malwinka Marszałek, who requires life-saving treatment.
Extreme effort, raw emotion, and a spectacular triumph – the Polish windsurfer has rewritten the history of crossing the Baltic.
