On this occasion, Sebastian Kluska, Director of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service (MSPiR SAR), shared his message for the community:
- On the occasion of Maritime Rescue Workers' Day, I wish all MSPiR SAR personnel – maritime rescuers – health and good fortune in every mission. May you find satisfaction in offering help in the harshest of conditions, with the blessing of St. John of Nepomuk.
St. John of Nepomuk – the patron saint of those in peril on the water – holds a special place in the hearts of Polish maritime rescuers, symbolizing faith and perseverance in the face of the unknown.
As Poland honors its maritime rescue professionals today, the industry is reminded of the critical importance of SAR services, and of the silent bravery of those who go to sea not for profit or glory – but simply to bring others back home safely.
