- There was no STCW or SRC certificate on the boat, nor were there proper qualifications for the positions held. The skipper was instructed to return to port immediately, said Tadeusz Gruchalla from the Press Office of the Maritime Unit of the Border Guard.

Missing certificates can be considered a breach of maritime safety regulations.

- The Commander of the Kashubian Squadron may submit a request to the Director of the Maritime Office in Gdynia to initiate administrative proceedings, Tadeusz Gruchalla added.

Incidents like this serve as a reminder that even leisure fishing trips require strict adherence to formal requirements and possession of proper documentation to ensure the safety of all on board.
