From July 10 to August 28, every Thursday evening, beachgoers and film enthusiasts can enjoy blockbuster movies under the stars—just steps away from the towering cranes and container ships of the newly developed T3 deep-water terminal at Baltic Hub. Entry to all screenings is free, with each show starting shortly after sunset.
- This initiative allows us to highlight the unique atmosphere of Gdańsk's port district and showcase how maritime infrastructure can harmoniously coexist with vibrant cultural spaces, says Regina Stawnicka, Director of the Marketing and Communications Department and Spokesperson at the Port of Gdańsk. - There’s nothing quite like watching a film with a view of berthed containerships and the sounds of the sea in the background.
This year’s program includes a diverse range of titles—from lighthearted family adventures to high-energy thrillers—bringing together different audiences in a shared, open space shaped by the sea.
- As a direct neighbor of Stogi Beach, we’re proud to be a long-time partner of this event, adds Magdalena Jagła, Head of PR and Communications at Baltic Hub. - It’s a unique initiative where port operations and public engagement meet. It gives our terminal a human dimension and reinforces our commitment to being part of the community fabric.
Set in one of the most industrially significant areas of Northern Poland, the Stogi Beach Summer Cinema redefines what it means for ports to engage with the public. It’s more than just entertainment—it's an invitation to experience the maritime economy not only as a powerhouse of trade and logistics, but also as a backdrop for meaningful urban experiences.
With deckchairs in the sand, complimentary gifts for viewers, and the iconic horizon of Gdańsk’s harbor cranes, the event is quickly becoming a flagship example of soft port-city integration.
