Sailing Gryphons 2025: nominees announced for West Pomeranian Sailing Awards
The Sailing Gryphons 2025, the West Pomeranian Sailing Awards, have entered their final stage. The awards jury has announced nominees in six categories, with winners to be revealed on 24 January during the official Gala of the West Pomeranian Regional Sailing Association in Szczecin, Poland.

This year’s edition attracted record interest from the sailing community, with 57 nominations submitted, covering competitive sailing, coaching, event organization, offshore cruising and lifetime achievements during the 2025 season. The jury consisted of members of the Association’s Board, as well as representatives of the City of Szczecin and the West Pomeranian regional government.
Each category features three nominees, including promising young sailors, experienced coaches, organizers of major regattas in the Baltic region, offshore sailors undertaking ambitious voyages, and individuals who have made long-term contributions to sailing development in West Pomerania.
The Sailing Gryphons Gala 2025 will take place at the Marshal’s Office in Szczecin and will serve as a key annual meeting point for the regional sailing and maritime community, summarizing achievements of the past season.
The event is supported by the West Pomeranian Region, the City of Szczecin and key maritime and logistics partners.
