The inspection revealed a number of deficiencies affecting the vessel’s compliance with maritime safety regulations. These included expired pyrotechnic equipment, the absence of the required STCW certificate, lack of the original safety card, and an insufficient number of qualified crew members on board.
Until all deficiencies are rectified, the yacht is prohibited from leaving port. The Port Master of Łeba has been notified of the findings. The yacht’s skipper was fined by the Border Guard.
The Polish Border Guard stresses that adherence to safety standards and the possession of valid ship documentation are essential requirements for operating at sea.
