Baltica 2, jointly developed by PGE Group and Ørsted, represents a cornerstone investment in the Baltic Sea offshore wind sector. Once operational, the project will be capable of supplying green electricity to approximately 2.5 million end users, including households, public institutions, and industrial consumers. First power generation is scheduled for 2027.

The agreement covers the delivery of the largest batch of towers for the project, highlighting the increasing role of the Polish industrial base in the offshore wind supply chain. Baltic Towers’ manufacturing facility in Gdańsk, valued at approximately EUR 200 million, is designed to produce towers for the latest generation of offshore turbines, meeting the highest technical and quality standards required for marine environments.

- We are fully prepared to deliver towers for the largest offshore turbines currently available and ready to scale up our production capacity in line with the emergence of next-generation turbine technologies. We are proud that Baltic Towers will contribute to a project located in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. Our location provides a significant logistical advantage for both the domestic market and the wider Baltic region, allowing us to effectively mitigate project and supply chain risks. By developing our manufacturing base in Gdańsk, we are building long-term industrial capabilities and strengthening our position as a key European supplier for offshore wind. Our operations are fully aligned with the strategic objectives of the Industrial Development Agency, aimed at reinforcing the domestic offshore wind supply chain and building national industrial competencies in this sector. Cooperation with Siemens Gamesa is of key importance to us. We appreciate the trust and partnership in advancing offshore wind development in Poland and across Europe, said Jakub Wnuczyński, CEO and Management Board Member of Baltic Towers.

From the technology provider’s perspective, the agreement reflects a broader strategy of localizing supply chains and strengthening cooperation with regional industrial partners.

- By securing tower manufacturing capacity in Poland, Siemens Gamesa reinforces its commitment to working with local and regional partners in delivering key offshore wind investments. This new partnership with Baltic Towers confirms our ambition to further develop offshore wind projects across Europe. It is another step toward building an energy system that is stable, secure, and future-ready, said Grzegorz Należyty, Managing Director of Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Poland.

Ørsted is responsible for the offshore construction phase of Baltica 2, ensuring full coordination of all technical components — from foundations and towers to turbine installation and commissioning.

- Ørsted is leading the offshore construction of Baltica 2, ensuring close coordination of all related technical elements — from foundations and towers to turbines and their installation and commissioning. As a key structural component of the turbine, the tower must meet the highest standards of quality and safety and be subject to full control at every stage of production to ensure reliable offshore operation. We are pleased that such a critical component will be supplied by a Polish company, which confirms the high level of readiness of the domestic offshore wind market. Turbine installation for Baltica 2 is planned for the second quarter of 2027, said Ulrik Lange, Vice President and Managing Director of the Baltica 2 project at Ørsted.

The inclusion of Baltic Towers in the project also underscores the growing importance of local industry participation in strategic energy investments.

- We welcome the involvement of another Polish company in the execution of the Baltica 2 project. It is particularly important for us that further key components to be installed in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea will be manufactured domestically. Offshore wind projects require the highest levels of quality and precision. Baltic Towers’ participation in supplying towers — fundamental structural components of offshore wind turbines — confirms that the Gdańsk facility meets the most demanding international standards and can successfully compete with leading global suppliers. This cooperation is also a tangible result of our consistent efforts to raise awareness among global partners about the importance of integrating domestic industry into projects shaping the future of Poland’s energy sector, said Dariusz Lubera, President of the Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.

Baltic Towers was established as a joint initiative between the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) and GRI Renewable Industries. The project combines ARP’s investment capabilities and access to strategically located industrial sites with GRI’s global manufacturing expertise in the renewable energy sector.

The agreement marks another significant milestone in building a robust domestic supply chain for offshore wind and further strengthens Poland’s position as an emerging industrial hub for the Baltic Sea offshore wind market.
