Winter sailing on the Baltic. Author event in Gdańsk explores real-life experiences

Winter sailing in the Baltic Sea is a unique blend of challenge and beauty – from frozen marinas to demanding offshore conditions. These experiences will be at the center of an upcoming author event in Gdańsk, focused on the book “Against the wind and other adventures. Four seasons with a view of Olivia Star.”

The event will take place on March 23 at Olivia Centre and will include a curated photo presentation from winter voyages across the Gulf of Gdańsk, followed by a live interview with the author conducted by Kamil Kusier, Editor-in-Chief of Gazeta Morska.

Topics will range from technical preparations for winter sailing and operating in low visibility, to personal insights from sailing alongside professional and Olympic-level sailors. The discussion will also touch on balancing sailing with everyday professional life.

The event is organized in cooperation with O4 Coworking and maritime media partners, and will conclude with an audience Q&A and prize draw.
