Following the service, residents, local authorities, and service members of the Polish Navy and other uniformed formations took part in a ceremonial march through the streets of the city. The official ceremony on Słowiański Square featured a military formation, the presentation of colors, and a wreath-laying in tribute to those who fought for the nation’s independence.
The celebrations continued with the Cavalry Independence Picnic, where visitors could experience historical reenactments, cavalry demonstrations, and presentations of military equipment. Cultural activities and performances complemented the day’s events, blending history, tradition, and community participation.
In the evening, the Świnoujście Cultural Centre hosted the concert “Beyond borders”, closing the day’s celebrations with a musical reflection on freedom and unity.
The events were organized by the Świnoujście City Council in cooperation with the Polish Navy, the “Wyspiarz” Sports and Recreation Centre, and local cultural institutions.
