The Industrial Development Agency (ARP S.A.) is reaffirming its strategic commitment to the development of Poland’s offshore wind potential by organizing the industry-focused workshop “Offshore Without Barriers: How ARP Helps Polish Companies Enter the Offshore Wind Value Chain”. The event will take place on June 25 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sopot, as part of the Polish Ports 2030 Congress.

The workshop is expected to bring together key stakeholders from the offshore wind sector, public institutions, and companies looking to expand into this dynamic and rapidly growing market. Attendees will gain insight into ARP S.A.’s comprehensive support offering, which includes tailored financial instruments and strategic advisory services.

The program will feature in-depth discussions on certification requirements for the offshore sector, mapping of key market players, and logistical challenges related to the execution of offshore wind projects. Case studies from experienced Polish companies – including Baltic Towers, the Baltic Industrial Group, and Crist Offshore – will provide practical insights into supply chain integration and project execution.

Anna Wiosna, Director of the Enterprise Development Department at ARP S.A. and moderator of the workshop, emphasizes that the event goes beyond typical industry gatherings. The focus is on diagnosing real-world challenges and immediately addressing them with practical tools ARP S.A. has developed to help Polish companies overcome entry barriers to the offshore sector – from financing schemes to matchmaking with key global players.

Krzysztof Telega, Vice President of ARP S.A., highlights that the Polish maritime economy is undergoing a pivotal transformation. Thanks to investments such as the Baltic Towers facility for wind turbine towers and high-voltage offshore substations delivered by the Baltic Industrial Group, Poland is rapidly acquiring vital industrial competencies within the global offshore value chain. ARP S.A. is actively supporting this process by equipping entrepreneurs with both the capital and know-how needed to succeed in this highly competitive sector.

The workshop will also serve as a valuable networking platform, connecting newcomers to the offshore market with established players who will share their lessons learned and operational know-how.

Currently, the share of local content in projects such as Baltic Power is estimated at around 21%. With continued support from ARP S.A. and initiatives like these workshops, this figure could rise to 45% in upcoming offshore developments. Forecasts suggest that by 2040, the total value of offshore wind-related contracts available to Polish firms could reach as much as PLN 300 billion.

Through the “Offshore Without Barriers” workshops, ARP S.A. is reinforcing its position as a key institutional partner in Poland’s energy transition. By combining expert knowledge, targeted financial instruments, and a robust network of public and private partnerships, the agency is effectively driving the competitiveness of Poland’s industrial base in the offshore wind sector.
