Maritime Border Guard Unit invites former officers back into service
The Maritime Border Guard Unit is once again opening its doors to former officers interested in returning to active duty. Competitive remuneration, a comprehensive system of service allowances, financial stability, and the opportunity to serve in a mission-driven role at the frontline of national security—all form the foundation of the renewed recruitment initiative.

Preparatory service – a structured path back into uniform
Former officers who previously completed basic vocational training within the Border Guard may re-enter service through the preparatory route, provided they submit the required set of documents. The qualification process varies depending on how long ago the candidate left service.

- a security clearance procedure in accordance with classified information regulations (for candidates without valid clearance).
Re-entry after 1 year and within 5 years – preparatory service

- psychological and psychophysiological assessments,
- medical commission evaluation,
- security clearance procedure.

Benefits and priority for former officers
Returning officers gain access to several advantages:

- eligibility to apply for permanent service six months before contract expiration,
- for retired Border Guard personnel: pension benefits remain unaffected,
- contract service time does not modify the amount or calculation of existing service pensions,
- previously earned vocational qualifications remain valid.

- a completed personal questionnaire,
- one recent passport-style colour photograph,
- a copy of the short-form birth certificate,
