During the visit, discussions focused on the key roles and responsibilities carried out by the Border Guard, with particular emphasis on its coast guard functions. Officers showcased the equipment used for securing Poland’s maritime borders and for monitoring national maritime zones.

Attendees were presented with a demonstration of the rapid response and intervention unit, inspection teams, and specialized maritime operations gear employed by the Maritime Branch of the Polish Border Guard. The delegation also had the opportunity to tour the offshore patrol vessel OPV SG-301, a high-seas patrol unit dedicated to safeguarding the EU’s external maritime borders in the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas.
