Gdynia Maritime University (GMU) reminds prospective students that applications for first- and second-cycle programs for the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year are open only until February 6, 2026. This is the final opportunity to register via the online candidate registration system (IRK), submit required documents, and secure a path toward a successful academic and professional career.

As one of the oldest and most prestigious maritime universities in Poland and Europe, GMU has, for over 100 years, combined maritime traditions with modern education methods. The university prepares specialists who are highly valued in both domestic and international job markets.
Increasing attention in GMU’s curriculum is being directed toward offshore and marine wind energy programs, reflecting the growing role of renewable energy and offshore technologies in the European maritime sector. Candidates can also choose from a wide range of maritime and land-based programs offered across five faculties: navigation, mechanical, electrical, computer science, and management and quality sciences. GMU programs combine strong theoretical foundations with practical training, modern facilities, and guidance from experienced faculty members, many of whom are industry practitioners.
GMU graduates successfully pursue careers not only at sea but also in transport, logistics, energy, IT, shipbuilding, management, and finance. The university’s prestige is further recognized through its membership in the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU).
