The mission was launched following a medical emergency onboard the vessel Esperance, located approximately 33 nautical miles north of Kołobrzeg, Poland.
After reaching the designated rescue area, the onboard rescue swimmer successfully hoisted the injured crew member from the ship. The patient was subsequently transported by air to Koszalin, where he was transferred to a ground emergency medical service team.
After completing the operation, the helicopter crew safely returned to their home base in Darłowo, restoring full operational readiness.
This was the third search and rescue mission conducted by Polish naval aviators in 2026. Throughout their operational history, Polish Navy Naval Aviation search and rescue crews have carried out 829 missions, providing assistance to 448 individuals.
