BA-Beata – a key asset in fuel transport
Built in 1973 at the Szczecin River Shipyard, BA-Beata is a steel fuel barge designed for the transportation of petroleum products. Measuring 38.66 m in length, 9.08 m in beam, and 1.78 m in draft, the vessel serves as a floating platform for fuel storage and bunkering operations in seaports. Due to its size and specialization, BA-Beata plays an important role in the fuel logistics chain along the Polish coast.
A new technical challenge for Szkuner shipyard
The presence of BA-Beata on the Władysławowo slipway marks another milestone in the development of Szkuner shipyard’s technical portfolio. Servicing a vessel of this scale requires precise planning, skilled execution, and the appropriate infrastructure. Szkuner shipyard, known for its experience in vessel maintenance and repair, is carrying out a comprehensive service program that includes technical inspections, modernization of bunkering systems, and replacement of key structural components.
Shipyard development and cooperation with the fuel sector
Szkuner shipyard continues to expand its service range, focusing on the maintenance and repair of specialized vessels, including fuel and transport units. As the maritime and fuel transport sectors evolve, the yard’s ability to handle larger and more complex projects will further strengthen its position in both domestic and international markets.
A milestone in the yard’s history
The arrival of BA-Beata at Szkuner shipyard represents a significant milestone for the Władysławowo-based facility. With its infrastructure and skilled workforce, the shipyard is well equipped to service demanding vessels, contributing to the continued development of Poland’s maritime maintenance and repair capabilities.
