StartupHack 3.0 at GPNT: Space and maritime technologies at the core of innovation

The third edition of StartupHack was held at the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park. The business and technology hackathon focused on space technologies, the Space sector, and dual-use solutions for industry and business, including applications within Industry 4.0.

The event brought together teams developing prototypes (MVPs) who, within 2 days, addressed demanding challenges requiring both technical execution and business-oriented thinking, including the development of commercialization models.

Final results:

• 1st place: Edukawa – Shadow Fleet
• 2nd place: AKN
• 3rd place: Delta Byte Zefir

Mentors emphasized the high quality of the projects, with several teams presenting solutions showing strong potential for further development and implementation.

- As someone who has participated in numerous hackathons in the past, I had the pleasure of being on the other side this time – as a mentor at the third edition of StartupHack at GPNT. The challenges were quite demanding, and the teams were also required to present their solutions as MVPs, including a business model and a strategy for financing and customer acquisition. Two teams in particular caught our attention, and we established direct contact with them. There is a real possibility of developing a viable product together and moving from the conceptual phase into the market, said Michał Iwański, IT Director at KPH Group Sp. z o.o., publisher of, among others, pracujnamorzu.pl.

The second mentor highlighted the innovative nature of the projects and their relevance to both the space and maritime sectors.

- The teams presented a wide range of interesting solutions, introducing innovative approaches to challenges in the space and maritime industries. I hope that the next edition will bring even more participants and even more compelling projects, said Oskar Wojciechowski, Board Member at KPH Group Sp. z o.o.
