Błażej Konkol appointed vice president for infrastructure at the Port of Gdańsk Authority
The Supervisory Board of the Port of Gdańsk Authority (Zarząd Morskiego Portu Gdańsk S.A.) has concluded the recruitment process for the position of Vice President for Infrastructure. As a result, Błażej Konkol, previously Vice President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, has been appointed to the role.

He will officially assume his new position on 13 April 2026 and will be responsible for overseeing the port’s infrastructure development, including the execution of strategic investment projects and the expansion of technical facilities at one of the key Baltic Sea ports.
Konkol is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk, where he completed studies in Foreign Trade. He began his professional career at the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Gdańsk. He brings extensive experience in public administration, having served as Mayor (Wójt) of Trąbki Wielkie municipality from 1999 to 2024, where he was actively involved in local infrastructure development and investment initiatives.
Since 2005, he has also served as President of the Association of Pomeranian Municipalities, gaining substantial experience in inter-municipal cooperation and regional project management.
In May 2024, he joined the management board of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone as Vice President, where he supervised the Zone Investment Department, the Science and Technology Parks in Gdańsk and Gdynia, as well as organizational functions. His background in infrastructure management and investment delivery is expected to support the Port of Gdańsk’s ongoing expansion and strengthen its competitive position in the Baltic region.
The appointment reflects the Port Authority’s strategic focus on enhancing its infrastructure capabilities to meet growing cargo volumes and evolving market demands.
