Services on ice. False alarm in Swarzewo in Poland. Such behavior endangers those who truly need help
In Swarzewo, rescue teams from BSR Władysławowo and KP PSP Puck were mobilized following a report of a child under the ice. The call turned out to be a false alarm—a prank by children—but authorities treat every report seriously.

- Every call is taken seriously. We do not assess the situation at the moment of reporting; our priority is the rapid response and the safety of the potential victim, said Sebastian Kluska, head of MSPiR SAR. - This time it was a false alarm, but not every alert ends safely.
False alarms pose a real threat: every unnecessary deployment ties up resources that could save lives elsewhere. In some areas, like Ustka, firefighters frequently respond to medical emergencies due to a shortage of ambulances. Every minute spent on a non-existent emergency is time lost for someone in genuine danger.
- We cannot risk ignoring a real threat. Each false report wastes time and resources that could mean the difference between life and death, Sebastian Kluska added.
The message is clear: do not engage emergency services without real need. - We respond instantly, but public responsibility is equally crucial - concludes Sebastian Kluska, director of MSPiR SAR.
