More than an hour of fighting for a life
As the Maritime Search and Rescue Service announced, the SAR rescuers began their efforts immediately after receiving the call. Firefighters of the State Fire Service in Ustka joined the resuscitation, and an ambulance crew also reached the scene. The rescue efforts lasted around 80 minutes in total.
Despite the rescue efforts, the man could not be saved.
The coastal rescue station in Ustka is one of the units of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service, whose rescuers, apart from operations at sea, regularly support land-based services in emergencies in the port and along the coast.
