This summer, DEME has launched the second phase of capital dredging works in the access channel to Patimban Port, located 145 km east of Jakarta. The current scope follows the successful deepening of the inner basin in 2024 and is being executed in collaboration with the Penta Ocean–Toyo Rinkai–PP–Wika–Jakon consortium.
Patimban Port is a strategic national project and is set to become one of Indonesia’s largest container ports, with a future handling capacity of 7.5 million TEUs. The capital dredging works are a key step in ensuring safe access for larger vessels and strengthening the port’s role as a major logistics hub in the region.
