First ferry under the Batory program and Polsca brand

Jantar Unity is the first ferry constructed under Poland’s Batory Program, a government initiative aimed at modernizing the national ferry fleet and enhancing the efficiency of passenger–cargo operations in the Baltic Sea. The vessel is also the first to operate under the Polsca brand, establishing a new standard for domestic ferry operations.

First-month operational data

During its initial 30 days, Jantar Unity transported 107 passengers and 60 passenger cars. Freight operations included 3,341 lorries, 184 short vehicles, 392 trailers, and 3 long vehicles. The total cargo deck area amounted to 63,734 sq.m., while the total cargo carried reached 50,591 tons. A total of 3,626 drivers were on board, utilizing the ferry for freight and vehicle transport.

These figures demonstrate the vessel’s ability to efficiently handle mixed transport operations, both passenger and cargo, while maintaining stable operational performance under regular service conditions.

Next step in the Batory program: Bursztyn Unity in 2026

In 2026, the next ferry, Bursztyn Unity, will enter service, also as part of the Batory Program. This vessel will further increase passenger and cargo transport capacity, strengthen Polsca’s position in the Baltic Sea, and continue the modernization of Poland’s ferry fleet.
