POLARIS25: Replenishment at Sea and Combat Drills in a Realistic Operational Environment
As part of the large-scale POLARIS25 exercise, the French Navy conducted advanced at-sea logistics operations under realistic combat conditions. The replenishment ship BCR Somme successfully carried out a dual Replenishment at Sea (RAM) with the FREMM frigate Bretagne and the Spanish Navy’s F-105 Cristóbal Colón. This complex operation underscored the high degree of interoperability and logistical readiness within NATO naval forces.

A standout component of the operation involved the French frigate Auvergne, which combined underway replenishment with live-fire exercises. Such integrated actions demonstrate not only the high level of crew proficiency, but also the French Navy's capability to execute coordinated multi-domain operations in a dynamic maritime battlespace.
POLARIS25 continues to serve as a cornerstone for enhancing operational readiness and validating combat capabilities under conditions that closely replicate real-world scenarios.
