As the Maritime Search and Rescue Service announced, after reaching the scene the rescuers secured the person and are now cooperating with the police and the prosecutor's office, which are conducting further procedures. The services have not so far released any information on the identity or condition of the person found.
The area of yesterday's search
The location of today's report lies within the area that sea, air and land units were still combing yesterday. The search for two men who had set out on a jet ski from the Osłonino area began late on Tuesday evening, after an alert received at 9:39 pm. The first of them was found at dawn on a sandbank in the middle of the bay by the crew of an Anakonda helicopter of the Gdynia Naval Aviation Brigade and handed over to medics. Despite operations conducted from the water, the air and the shore for 21 hours and 51 minutes, the second man was not found - the active search was suspended on Wednesday at 7:30 pm as darkness fell.
The services have not yet officially confirmed whether today's report is connected with the search concluded yesterday. We covered the course of the Puck Bay operation in a separate article.
