Representatives of companies at specially arranged booths showcased their business profiles, discussed details of available internships and job opportunities, and answered students' questions.
- For us, this is a perfect opportunity to talk to companies, learn about what they offer, and find out who they are looking for - said one first-year student.
The Maritime Job Fair is an initiative that not only facilitates students in finding internships but also helps build bridges between the university and the maritime industry. Organizers emphasized that this is one of the rare occasions where students can explore maritime internship offers from over a dozen companies – all in one place!

- The first Maritime Job Fair at the Maritime University of Gdynia is behind us, and I think we can consider it a great success. We managed to gather 16 shipping companies offering jobs for students aboard maritime vessels. The turnout exceeded our wildest expectations – we estimate that several hundred students from UMG’s maritime programs attended. Before the event, we had promised ourselves that if the attendance was high and we received positive feedback from both employers and students, the Maritime Job Fair would become a recurring event. I can now confirm that it will. Our goal was to bring together many companies offering cadet jobs in one place, allowing students to quickly familiarize themselves with the current job market in the maritime sector. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making the Maritime Job Fair our shared success - said MSc Eng. Capt. Dariusz Jellonnek, Director of the Shipping and Maritime Internships Department and the event’s initiator, after the fair concluded.
