Gdynia Sailing Days 2025: A Premier Maritime Event Returns to the Baltic Coast

From July 7 to 27, 2025, the Polish coastal city of Gdynia will once again host one of Europe’s most prominent and long-standing sailing festivals – the 26th edition of Gdynia Sailing Days. Organized by the Polish Yachting Association in cooperation with the City of Gdynia and multiple industry stakeholders, the event is set to attract both international competitors and key figures from the European maritime and water sports sectors.

World-Class Racing Across Multiple Classes

Gdynia Sailing Days 2025 will open with the Micro Class World Championships, followed by two other globally sanctioned competitions: the Youth Match Racing World Championships and the World eSailing Championships – a growing format that bridges competitive sailing with virtual innovation.

In addition to international regattas, the event will feature numerous national-level races, including the ILCA Sprint Polish Championships, the Gdynia City Cup, and a variety of fleet and youth-class competitions. The schedule emphasizes both high-performance sport and grassroots development, reaffirming the event’s role as a cornerstone of Polish and regional sailing calendars.

Investing in Youth: KINDER Joy of Moving Trainer’s Cup

One of the event’s key youth segments will be the KINDER Joy of Moving Trainer’s Cup, held from July 17–19 for sailors aged 6–13 in the Optimist Class (Group B). As part of Ferrero’s CSR program, this initiative highlights physical activity through play, fair play, and long-term engagement with sailing. The event underscores a developmental, pressure-free approach, emphasizing joy and learning over results.

Uniting Winter and Water Sports: Mobile Ski Jump on the Beach

Gdynia Sailing Days 2025 will also introduce an unexpected attraction: a mobile ski jumping ramp, installed directly on Gdynia’s city beach. Developed in collaboration with the Akademia Lotnika, this innovative activation will host ski jumping shows and activities – a first-of-its-kind fusion of summer water sports and winter disciplines in a maritime environment.

The installation will be overseen by Jakub Kot, a decorated ski jumper and youth coach, ensuring both safety and audience engagement. The initiative is designed to broaden the event’s appeal and promote year-round athleticism among youth and families.

Inclusive, Sustainable, and Forward-Thinking

Beyond racing and entertainment, Gdynia Sailing Days 2025 will include a series of social and sustainability-oriented initiatives, such as EcoWeekend, Health Day, the PGE PolSailing program, and Sailing Without Barriers – a dedicated day for sailors with disabilities. These programs reflect the Polish Yachting Association’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and responsible environmental practices within the maritime sector.

Industry Showcase: POLBOAT Yachting Festival

The final days of the event will once again feature the POLBOAT Yachting Festival at Marina Yacht Park, Poland’s leading in-water exhibition of luxury yachts, catamarans, and recreational vessels. The festival provides a unique opportunity for shipyards, designers, distributors, and service providers to showcase their offerings, connect with clients, and network across the Baltic and European boating industry.
