First "Portomat" in Poland Installed at Kołobrzeg Yacht Port
Kołobrzeg Yacht Port has launched a pioneering solution for the maritime sector — the first port-based payment terminal for boats and yachts in Poland, aptly named the Portomat by its manufacturer. The device has been installed at the Solny Basin, the port’s newest and busiest marina area, opened in 2015.

Functionally similar to a street parking meter, the Portomat features custom software tailored to the needs of sailors. The user-friendly interface allows for fast, intuitive operation, with payment options including card and BLIK, and 24/7 service. The unit is powered by both the electrical grid and solar panels, reflecting a commitment to energy efficiency.
– This innovation stems from listening closely to feedback from our resident boaters and visiting sailors, says the Kołobrzeg Marina team. - Sometimes a small improvement can make a big difference. In this case, it’s turned us into pioneers – and that’s a great feeling.
The Portomat allows sailors to handle mooring payments independently, without needing to visit the harbormaster’s office – although, as the team emphasizes, personal interaction with port staff remains a valued part of the experience.
With this investment, Kołobrzeg reinforces its position as one of the most forward-thinking yacht ports on the Baltic coast.
