Since 2023, the event has been supported by Energa from ORLEN Group, the event’s title sponsor, which continues to reinforce its presence in the region through strategic investments in youth development and community-based sports.
– The Pomorskie region is inherently linked to water sports, and supporting initiatives that combine physical activity, education, and respect for nature is central to our sponsorship philosophy, says Magdalena Marszałkowska, Director of Marketing at Energa SA. Events like the ENERGA NORD CUP Gdańsk provide opportunities to engage young people in teamwork, discipline, and active lifestyles. That’s why we also support projects such as the Energa Giżycko Regatta Team and collaborate with ambassadors like top sailor Michał Krasodomski and kitesurfing champion Magdalena Woyciechowska.
The regatta has grown into a major international sailing event, recognised for its logistical scale and professional standards. According to Michał Korneszczuk, the event’s sports director, The partnership with Energa gives the event both stability and momentum. For sailors, wind and water are the elements that power competition – and these are also renewable sources of energy. This shared vision strengthens the identity of the regatta.
This year’s racing schedule includes signature events such as the Orvaldi B8 Race for offshore yachts, the Pantaenius Nord Cup Classic, and a strong turnout in the Optimist class (Vector Sails Cup) and ILCA, with the Snipe class competing for the Polish National Championship title.
The ENERGA NORD CUP Gdańsk continues through 13 July at its traditional venue – Górki Zachodnie, the sailing heart of the Polish coast.
