Elenger Launches LNG Bunkering Operations in Poland with First Truck-to-Ship Delivery in Gdańsk

Elenger, the largest private energy group in the Baltic-Finnish region, has officially entered the Polish LNG bunkering market. The company successfully completed its first truck-to-ship LNG bunkering operation for the newly built RO-PAX ferry NB101 at Remontowa Shiprepair Yard S.A., marking a strategic milestone in its regional expansion.

The operation involved 139 m³ of LNG supplied via three of Elenger’s tank trucks directly to the ferry’s cryogenic fuel system. The bunkering followed extensive technical preparations, including system tests certified by DNV, and cooling of the LNG tank to -130°C using liquid nitrogen.

The NB101 ferry, designed to carry 400 passengers and vehicles, features dual-fuel engines (LNG/diesel) expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 25% compared to conventional propulsion. The LNG delivery enabled final engine room testing during Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT) ahead of upcoming sea trials.
