439th Person Rescued by Polish Navy SAR Crews. Passenger of Seven Seas Navigator Evacuated

On Friday, July 11, a search and rescue crew from the 43rd Naval Aviation Base successfully conducted a medical evacuation of a passenger from the cruise ship Seven Seas Navigator, located north of Hel on the Baltic Sea.

- The patient in need of medical assistance was a passenger aboard the Seven Seas Navigator, located to the north of Hel. After reaching the area of operations and identifying the vessel, the rescue swimmer was deployed to the deck, and the casualty was safely hoisted aboard, said Lt. Cdr. Marcin Kołodziejski, spokesperson for the Naval Aviation Brigade.

Upon returning to their home base, the aircrew handed over the patient to the Emergency Medical Service team for further treatment.

- The crew returned to their home airfield, where the patient was transferred to EMS personnel, Lt. Cdr. Kołodziejski added.

This was the 11th SAR mission carried out in 2025 by the Gdynia-based Naval Aviation Brigade and the 817th SAR flight in the operational history of Polish naval aviation.

- It was the 11th search and rescue operation conducted by the Naval Aviation Brigade in 2025, and the 817th overall in SAR flight history, confirmed Lt. Cdr. Kołodziejski.

With this operation, the total number of people rescued by Polish Navy SAR units reached 439.
