125th anniversary of col. Karol Bacz’s birth. Patron of the Maritime Border Guard Unit
On October 18, the Maritime Border Guard Unit in Gdańsk marked the 125th anniversary of its patron, Col. Karol Bacz. To commemorate the occasion, Rear Adm. Andrzej Prokopski, Commander of the Unit, and his Deputy, Cmdr. Wojciech Heninborch, laid flowers at the memorial plaque dedicated to Col. Bacz.

A soldier of the Polish Legions and officer of the reborn Polish Army, Border Protection Corps, and Border Guard, Col. Bacz (1900–1984) devoted his life to serving and safeguarding Poland’s frontiers. Since 2004, the Maritime Border Guard Unit has proudly carried his name, honoring his legacy of duty and patriotism.
