Beginning 1 September 2026, the school plans to open a new technical programme that will develop highly skilled professionals for the offshore wind industry and the Polish energy transition.
Strategic commitment to offshore wind talent development
The letter of intent was signed by:
- Paweł Lisowski, Starosta of Słupsk (Morski Powiat Słupski),
- Bartosz Fedurek, president of PGE Baltica,
- Katarzyna Ozimek, director of ZSOiT Ustka.
This agreement formalises the parties’ mutual intention to cooperate on building a long-term pipeline of specialists for the offshore wind sector—one of the most strategic and fastest-growing industries in Poland.
- This is a huge opportunity for the young people sitting in this room. A good future is right here, in our region. There is no need to search for it in big cities — Paweł Lisowski
- We want Ustka to become home to the best offshore-focused secondary school in Poland. This is our ambition, and this is the direction we are committed to pursuing — Bartosz Fedurek.
“Green wind” – popular science debate for the next generation
The signing ceremony took place as part of the “Green wind” event — a popular-science debate dedicated to renewable energy, sustainability, and career opportunities emerging from the new offshore wind curriculum.

Supported by strong institutional partners, the region is aligning its educational offering with Poland’s strategic energy goals and the emerging needs of the offshore wind supply chain.
Ustka is not just joining the sector’s transformation — it is helping to shape it.
