Polish ferry operators launch joint brand POLSCA Baltic Ferries. What does it mean for the industry?
Three major Polish ferry operators – Polferries (Polska Żegluga Bałtycka), Unity Line (part of the Polska Żegluga Morska Group), and Euroafrica Shipping Lines – have joined forces under a new umbrella brand: polsca baltic ferries. This strategic collaboration is designed to strengthen the competitive position of Polish ferry operators in the Baltic Sea region, particularly on passenger and freight routes between Poland and Scandinavia.

– This is a response to the real need to enhance the influence and reach of our companies in the Baltic region and to offer customers higher travel and service standards – says Jolanta Kowalska from Polferries.
By uniting their resources, the three established operators aim to deliver improved comfort, safety, and access to innovative solutions across their fleets and service models. The initiative also sets the stage for a digital and product transformation within the combined network.
– We want to ensure that both passengers and business partners benefit from modern, reliable solutions that will redefine their ferry experience – adds Jolanta Kowalska.
A detailed operational plan has already been developed. It includes the brand’s organizational structure, fleet configuration, and the implementation of new digital and product strategies. However, the launch of polsca baltic ferries is subject to obtaining the necessary administrative and corporate approvals.
Until those approvals are granted, current booking systems and service rules remain unchanged. The companies emphasize that all actions are being carried out with a strong focus on service continuity and customer satisfaction.
– We will be gradually publishing updates and information about new products and planned improvements under the polsca baltic ferries brand. We encourage everyone to follow the official website at www.polsca.com – says Jolanta Kowalska.
