A decision has been made regarding the stowaways. The Algerians will be placed in a guarded center for foreigners
According to Tadeusz Gruchalla from the Maritime Border Guard Unit, two stowaways from a Bahamian-flagged cargo ship detained on January 21 at the Police port by the Szczecin Border Guard will be placed in a Guarded Center for Foreigners for up to three months. This decision was made by the Szczecin Prawobrzeże and West District Court.

The court's decision involves two Algerians who arrived in Police on a bulk carrier from Algeria. They applied for international protection through the Border Guard. Until the Head of the Office for Foreigners reviews their applications, they will remain in a guarded center operated by the Border Guard. Their future will depend on the decision of that authority, as stated to the Daily Mare by Tadeusz Gruchalla, spokesperson for the Maritime Border Guard Unit.
