813th search and rescue mission for the Naval Aviation Brigade
The duty crew of a W-3WARM helicopter from the 44th Naval Aviation Base (Darłowo Air Group) was dispatched following a distress signal: “rescue alarm – person overboard.” The mission report indicated that a surfer had gone missing at sea.

After reaching the designated search area and successfully locating the individual, the helicopter crew established contact with the vessel R-18, which was already on scene. The unit confirmed that the surfer did not require medical assistance.
The helicopter returned to Darłowo and promptly restored operational readiness.
- This was the 813th search and rescue operation carried out by crews of the Gdynia-based Naval Aviation Brigade. Over the years, 435 individuals have received assistance during these missions, reported Lt. Cmdr. Marcin Kołodziejski.
