Spring in the Baltic. Education and ecology at the Gdynia Aquarium

The Baltic Sea awakens with the arrival of spring, and the Gdynia Aquarium invites visitors to four exceptional days of educational events dedicated to marine environmental protection. From March 21st to 24th, guests will have the opportunity not only to admire the underwater world but also to deepen their knowledge of the Baltic ecosystem.

The celebrations will kick off on March 21st, the first day of spring, which also marks the informal Ditch Day. On this occasion, pupils, preschoolers, and students can benefit from a special ticket price – 10 PLN.

The highlight of the event will be March 22nd – World Water Day and Baltic Sea Protection Day. In the Zostera Room, visitors will be able to look under the binocular and learn more about the inhabitants of the Puck Bay – one of the most ecologically valuable areas of the Baltic Sea.

Weekend attractions (March 23rd–24th) include interactive activities in the Didactic Room, educational games for both children and adults, as well as presentations revealing the secrets of Baltic marine life. In the Baltic Room, guests will observe the microscopic world of marine organisms and gain insight into the challenges facing the Baltic ecosystem amid climate change.

All activities are included in the ticket price, and no prior reservation is required.

Organized by the Gdynia Aquarium, the event combines education with environmental protection promotion, bringing the richness of the Baltic nature and the importance of its preservation closer to both younger and older visitors.
