Thomas Rose is a well-known conservative and Zionist who has frequently commented on international relations, particularly regarding Israel and Middle Eastern policy. As ambassador, he will be responsible for further strengthening ties between Warsaw and Washington, and his nomination has been positively received by Polish President Andrzej Duda.
The new U.S. representative in Warsaw has visited Poland multiple times and has emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation. His tasks will also include developing partnerships in the energy sector and supporting American investments in Poland. His appointment aligns with the long-term U.S. strategy to strengthen its influence in Central and Eastern Europe.
- I am deeply honored that President Donald Trump has asked me to serve as ambassador to Poland. If confirmed, I will do everything in my power every day to promote, defend, and advance the interests of the United States of America and our president, said Thomas Rose.
The new ambassador has openly criticized the decisions of Donald Tusk's government, including the alleged illegal takeover of public media. In another matter, regarding the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he remarked that "Poland deserves better" when assessing the Polish prime minister. When asked in Gdańsk about Donald Trump’s choice, Prime Minister Donald Tusk responded that he would take the time to explain that "it is worth starting a mission in Poland without any prejudices."
Thomas Rose has repeatedly emphasized that political stability and respect for the rule of law are crucial for the continued development of U.S.-Poland relations.
His tenure will undoubtedly bring new challenges and opportunities for Polish-American relations, and the political and economic decisions made during this period will have significant implications for the future of both countries.
