The third day of the World Cup regatta in France brought excellent news for Team Poland. Battling fierce, near-stormy winds, Polish athletes delivered impressive results across several classes. It was a day that tested skill and resilience—and the Polish squad rose to the occasion.

iQFOiL: Paweł Tarnowski holds firm in second
In the men’s iQFOiL fleet, Paweł Tarnowski (Sopot Sailing Club) continues to hold second place overall. Despite finishing one race in 14th, his consistency across the remaining three races kept him well within the top ranks. Teammates Michał Polak and Stanisław Trepczyński are in 27th and 33rd, respectively, in a field of nearly 80 windsurfers.
49er: Łukasz Buksak and Paweł Głogowski on the rise
Polish pair Łukasz Buksak and Paweł Głogowski (Centrum Żeglarskie / Nauticus YC Olsztyn) are pushing hard in the 49er class. Navigating the heavy conditions with confidence, they moved into third place overall, just two points shy of the leaders. Meanwhile, the duo of Dominik Staniul and Aleksander Sztorch (KS AZS AWFiS Gdańsk) climbed to 15th, capping off the day with a race win. Teammates Tytus Butowski and Borys Podumis now sit in 20th place.
Women’s 49erFX and ILCA: Polish women gaining ground
In the 49erFX class, Julia Czapska and Hanna Rajchert (Spójnia Sailing Section) continued their upward momentum. With top finishes, including a race win and a third place, they now stand in fifth overall. Fellow Polish team Aleksandra Melzacka and Sandra Jankowiak (YKP Gdynia / AZS Sailing Team Poznań) are in 13th.
In ILCA 6, Agata Barwińska (SSW Mos Iława) remains consistent, securing sixth place after finishing second and ninth in the day’s races. In ILCA 7, Michał Krasodomski (AWFiS Gdańsk) now sits in 24th position.
Formula Kite, 470, and women’s iQFOiL: tight racing across the board
In Formula Kite, Jan Marciniak (KS AQUA Włocławek) slipped to 11th, while Iza Satrjan (UKŻ Wiking Toruń) holds steady in sixth among the women. In the women’s iQFOiL division, Anastasiya Valkevich climbed to 20th and Maja Dziarnowska follows closely in 25th.
In the 470 class, Poland’s top-ranked team of Rafał Pogorzelczyk and Iga Wielczyk (MKS Dwójka Warszawa / SSW Mos Iława) are currently in 21st place.
