Regular container connection
As part of this collaboration, Eimskip vessels will call at the OT Port Świnoujście terminal every two weeks. Container handling will be carried out using modern cargo handling equipment, including an STS crane, ensuring efficient and effective cargo transfer.
- The start of cooperation with Eimskip represents our development in container handling, aligning with the intermodal transport strategy of OTL Group terminals – emphasizes Karol Bowżyk, board member of OT Logistics. – In recent years, together with the Szczecin and Świnoujście seaports authority, we have prepared infrastructure for intermodal transport, including storage yards. We are also applying for funding to purchase additional equipment, which will enable further terminal development – he adds.
Infrastructure development and future plans
By 2030, the OT Logistics Group plans to increase the terminal’s storage capacity to 4,000 TEU. Another key element of the long-term strategy is the planned construction of the deepwater container terminal in Świnoujście, which could utilize OT Port Świnoujście’s infrastructure as a hub for container and intermodal cargo handling.
