The contract, signed in 2021 and valued at approximately 1 billion SEK, covered two major elements: supply and support. Now fully implemented, the system spans five strategic locations across Poland, significantly strengthening national training capabilities and enabling seamless integration with allied forces.
The delivered infrastructure includes:
- 1 x Combat Training Centre (CTC) in Drawsko Pomorskie (KSSPW)
- 4 x Regimental Training Systems (LSS) in Żagań, Orzysz, Wędrzyn, and Nowa Dęba
These locations are now equipped with high-fidelity simulators for soldiers, weapons, and vehicles, as well as Saab’s advanced Exercise Control (EXCON) and integrated communication systems. The solution supports battalion- and company-level training exercises and allows the Polish Armed Forces to participate effectively in multinational and NATO-aligned scenarios.
Notably, the technology provides scalable, realistic training environments that reflect modern battlefield conditions — including maritime and littoral operations — vital in today's multidomain conflict landscape.
Beyond delivery, the 3.5-year support phase ensures:
- Full logistical and operational support
- Lifecycle sustainment of systems
- On-site technical assistance and continued training
Joakim Alhbin, Head of Saab’s Training & Simulation business unit, emphasized the strategic importance of the program:
- We are incredibly proud to have successfully delivered this comprehensive training solution to the Polish Armed Forces. This achievement reinforces Saab’s commitment to providing world-class, deployable training capabilities that enhance the preparedness of our partners.
This delivery represents more than a technological upgrade — it is a powerful symbol of deepening defence cooperation between Saab and Poland, and a testament to NATO’s collective emphasis on readiness, realism, and regional resilience.
