Coordinated response drills conducted in Świnoujście Naval Port
Just ahead of the Easter holidays, joint anti-terrorism drills were held at the Naval Port in Świnoujście, Poland, testing the readiness and interoperability of the country's maritime and military security forces. The exercise, organized by the Command of the 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla, simulated a breach in the security system protecting the Maritime Port Infrastructure (MPV Świnoujście).

Participating units included the Polish Navy, the Pomeranian Detachment of the Border Guard, the Special Unit of the Military Police from Warsaw, and the national Police. The scenario involved a simulated terrorist threat in a key military facility, providing a realistic setting to refine rapid response protocols.
As part of the exercise, the crew of the Border Guard patrol vessel SG-112 successfully executed the interception of a suspicious vessel, conducted an onboard inspection, and detained armed assailants. Simultaneously, Navy and Military Police units carried out operations to secure strategic infrastructure and neutralize the threat under real-world conditions.
Such drills serve not only as a measure of operational readiness but also as a platform for strengthening inter-agency coordination. Regular joint exercises are essential to maintaining a high level of security across critical maritime and defense installations and ensuring swift, effective responses to potential emergencies.
