ARP S.A. strengthens Poland’s defence industrial base with three strategic letters of intent

- Poland’s security relies not only on the strength of its alliances, but on the resilience of its own industrial base. Dual-use technologies—from counter-drone systems to unmanned ground platforms—are becoming central pillars of the modern defence economy. ARP supports projects that boost national security and expand local content in strategic supply chains. We believe the capabilities of Polish companies will form the backbone of a safer industry of the future, said Bartłomiej Babuśka, president of ARP S.A.
Expanding domestic production capacity: partnership with Wifama Sp. z o.o.
The first agreement was signed with Wifama Sp. z o.o., a company with more than a century of industrial heritage and established competencies in dual-use manufacturing. The firm specialises in metalworking and special production, with capabilities including:
- an aluminium foundry,
- advanced machining and fabrication facilities,
- licences for the manufacture and trade of explosives, weapons and ammunition.
Developing UGV production: cooperation with Gloster
The second letter of intent, signed with the Ukrainian investment fund Gloster, focuses on assessing the potential to develop production capabilities in Poland for “Numo” unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). These platforms support military operations, frontline logistics and crisis-response missions. Their relevance continues to grow, particularly for the protection of critical infrastructure such as ports, coastal assets and fuel terminals.
Next-generation counter-drone systems from Polish tech start-ups
The third agreement covers collaboration with two Polish technology start-ups — Revobeam sp. z o.o. and ViaDrone Swarm sp. z o.o. — working on advanced counter-drone solutions. Their competencies include AI-driven analytics, multi-sensor fusion and image-processing technologies.
The initiative aims to develop and industrialise an integrated counter-drone system designed to strengthen the protection of:
- critical infrastructure,
- military facilities,
- industrial sites,
- port and coastal infrastructure exposed to drone-related risks.
The system is planned to be manufactured primarily in Poland, ensuring strong participation from domestic suppliers and technology partners and reinforcing ARP’s strategy of building resilient national value chains.
