Border Guard Rescues Windsurfer on Vistula Lagoon Near Frombork Pier

On June 12, Polish Border Guard units conducted a successful rescue operation on the Vistula Lagoon after a windsurfer lost control and was unable to return to shore due to rough conditions.

Strong waves caused the man to fall from his board and struggle in the water. A beachgoer noticed the situation and alerted the authorities. Maritime assets SG-414 and SG-050 from the Kashubian Border Guard Division, along with R-30 from the Maritime Search and Rescue Service (SAR) station in Tolkmicko, were immediately dispatched.

The man was safely recovered from the water by officers aboard SG-050 and transported to the port in Frombork. No medical assistance was required.
