The final of the Wielkopolska Sailing League, sailed on 19–21 June on Lake Kierskie in Poznań, has brought the 2026 season to a close. Twelve crews, a tight scoreboard and a dramatic deciding round rounded off the campaign, and five crews have secured promotion to the Regional Leagues Final.

The Wielkopolska Sailing League is one of six regional leagues in Poland and effectively a "ticket" into national-level league sailing. The best crews from each regional league race in the Regional Leagues Final, which this year takes place on 2–4 October in Szczecin. The front-runners there earn an invitation to the First League; above that sits only the Ekstraklasa, the top level of league racing on RS21 yachts in Poland.

Heat, calm and half points

In the final round on Lake Kierskie, three flights, or six races, were completed. As that is few by the standard format, the rules meant the points for the round were halved. The weather gave the sailors little help: high temperatures and an absence of wind left them spending much of the day on the water waiting for conditions to start. Even so, the regatta was sailed in an excellent, sporting atmosphere.

The podium of the third and final round was taken by MKS Marina Niesulice, KS Puchar Soliny and Chodzież bez bandery. Niesulice's win was no surprise: an experienced crew that has never once lost in the league's history. Just behind, by a narrow margin, came KS Puchar Soliny, who pressed the leaders all season. In the round's standings, AWF Poznań's high placing (5th) and SKŻ Powidz's low one (10th) both stood out.

Five crews bound for Szczecin

Promotion was decided by the tally from the whole season, across three rounds. MKS Marina Niesulice, an undefeated crew, won the overall classification with 30 points, while promotion to the Regional Leagues Final went to the next five crews, in second through sixth place.

Final 2026 season standings:

  1. MKS Marina Niesulice – 30 pts
  2. KS Puchar Soliny – 27.5 pts (promoted)
  3. Chodzież bez bandery – 23 pts (promoted)
  4. Enea SPORTGAS Sailing Team – 22 pts (promoted)
  5. SKŻ Powidz – 19.5 pts (promoted)
  6. SBU Yacht Racing – 18.5 pts (promoted)
  7. AWF Poznań – 15.5 pts
  8. Kościański Klub Żeglarski – 11 pts
  9. Yacht Club Sharks – 9.5 pts
  10. Ostrów pod Żaglami – 8 pts
  11. Łodziaki – 5.5 pts
  12. Grupa Regatowa OpenSailing – 5 pts

The organisers now look ahead to October, when the promoted five will line up in Szczecin.
