Unusual visitor in Szczecin: SG-301 General Józef Haller at the Chrobry embankment
Szczecin welcomed the flagship offshore patrol vessel SG-301 Generał Józef Haller, which called at the port for the first time. The visit aimed to showcase the maritime operations carried out by the Polish Border Guard and to promote careers within the service.

As part of the visit, Border Guard officers held a lecture at the Maritime University of Szczecin, presenting the agency’s maritime operations. A promotional stand was also set up, where officers answered questions about recruitment and the specifics of service in the Border Guard.
- There was strong interest in the opportunity to tour the modern SG-301 patrol vessel, moored alongside the Chrobry Embankment. High school students and maritime university students had a unique chance to get a close-up look at the vessel’s equipment and learn about the working conditions of officers serving at sea, said Tadeusz Gruchalla, spokesperson for the Maritime Border Guard Unit (MOSG).
