Temporary Closure of Waterway Section Near Drzetowski Quay in Szczecin

The Water Police Station in Szczecin, in coordination with the Maritime Office in Szczecin, has issued a notice regarding the temporary suspension of navigation on a section of the Oder River. The measure is due to the ongoing loading operations involving large steel structures at the Drzetowski Quay.

The closure affects the stretch of the river between its western bank and Gryfia Island — specifically, from the southern end of the Wrocławskie Quay to the southern end of the Gdyńskie Quay.

The navigation restriction comes into effect on July 11, 2025, at 09:00 and will remain in place until further notice.

All vessels are required to comply strictly with the navigation ban and follow instructions issued by supervising authorities and maritime safety personnel present in the area.

The Water Police emphasize that the temporary restriction aims to ensure the safety of both shipping traffic and the personnel involved in the ongoing heavy cargo operations.
