Team Poland for Ukraine: A Unified Brand Backing Polish Global Expansion, with Opportunities for Maritime Sector
A powerful new initiative under the Team Poland banner brings together six key Polish development institutions to support the international expansion of domestic businesses—particularly in emerging post-conflict markets such as Ukraine. The program’s first flagship initiative, Team Poland for Ukraine, offers integrated support for companies seeking to participate in the country’s economic recovery, including those from the maritime, logistics, infrastructure, and port sectors.

Launched jointly by Polish Development Fund (PFR), Industrial Development Agency (ARP), Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE), Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), and Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), the initiative delivers a comprehensive package of financial and non-financial instruments under one unified platform: www.teampoland.eu/ukraina
The offer includes:
- Preferential loans, guarantees, and export insurance
- Advisory services, partner due diligence, market intelligence, and tender alerts
- A digital “Entrepreneur Assistant” that tailors tools to company profiles
- Direct support via contact centers and sector-specific guidance
For maritime companies—ranging from shipbuilding and offshore services to port equipment providers and cargo handlers—this presents a practical gateway to Ukraine’s future port modernization, logistics corridor development, and supply chain rebuilding.
- Ambitious goals aren’t achieved in isolation. The Team Poland initiative builds on coordinated, successful actions—like the consolidation of Polish IT firms entering the Ukrainian market, said Piotr Matczuk, CEO of PFR.
KUKE already insures nearly PLN 2 billion in annual Polish exports to Ukraine, alongside direct investment guarantees for firms engaged in rebuilding projects.
- We provide instruments securing not only exports but also financing of Polish companies’ participation in Ukraine’s reconstruction, added Janusz Władyczak, KUKE’s CEO.
Team Poland also integrates BGK’s strategic vision of supporting Polish firms on 100 international markets by 2030, as well as ARP’s special economic zone incentives and large-scale investment experience.
PAIH’s on-the-ground offices in Kyiv and Lviv will play a vital role, with dozens of business missions scheduled in the coming months.
- Ukraine is one of our top priorities. We are fully prepared to help Polish companies establish strong positions in the Ukrainian market, said Andrzej Dycha, CEO of PAIH.
The international launch of “Team Poland for Ukraine” will take place during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, 10–11 July 2025, where the unified brand will be introduced to global institutional and private-sector stakeholders.
