A series of events are scheduled aboard the tall ship to commemorate the anniversary of the 1791 Constitution. Awards will be presented to participants of sports competitions held in honor of the historic date. The vessel will also serve as a stage for live performances by Polish musical groups. Marek Kamiński, renowned polar explorer and traveler, will meet with both Norwegian and Polish audiences on board. Additionally, the public will have the opportunity to tour the ship.
The vessel, operated by the Maritime University of Gdynia, is currently on a training voyage that began in mid-March. Alongside students and cadets from Gdynia, the voyage also includes participants from the Antwerp Maritime Academy in Belgium. From Oslo, Dar Młodzieży will set sail for Hamburg, where it will take part in Hafengeburtstag, the world's largest harbor festival, held from May 9th.
Poles represent the largest ethnic minority in Norway. In 2024, Statistics Norway (SSB) reported over 111,000 permanent Polish residents in the country, which has a population of nearly 5.6 million.
