POLBOAT Yachting Festival opens alongside LOTTO Gdynia Sailing Days

One of Poland's most important yachting industry events, the POLBOAT Yachting Festival, gets underway in Gdynia on Thursday. Taking place from 23 to 26 July at Marina Yacht Park as part of LOTTO Gdynia Sailing Days, the seventh edition of the largest in-water boat show in this part of Europe will once again showcase a wide range of motorboats, sailing yachts and personal watercraft. The programme also includes a series of expert panel discussions. Among the speakers will be Tomasz Holc, President of the Polish Yachting Association, and Tomasz Chamera, Vice President of World Sailing. Admission to the event is free of charge.

POLBOAT Yachting Festival opens with nearly 30 premieres in Gdynia

The seventh edition of the POLBOAT Yachting Festival opens on 23 July at Marina Yacht Park in Gdynia as part of LOTTO Gdynia Sailing Days, bringing together more than 110 boats and almost 30 premieres. Organised by POLBOAT – the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports, the event is the largest in-water boat show in Central and Eastern Europe and runs until 26 July.

Poland is Europe's leading producer and the world's second-largest exporter of motor yachts up to 12 metres in length. The country's shipyards are recognised for advanced manufacturing technologies and innovative designs, with Polish-built yachts regularly receiving awards at major international boat shows.

The official opening ceremony will take place at 12:00 on Wednesday, with Tomasz Holc, President of the Polish Yachting Association, among the invited guests.

Nearly 30 premieres

This year's exhibition will feature leading Polish builders including Sunreef Yachts, Galeon Yachts, Balt-Yacht, Parker Poland, Northman, Cobrey Yachts, TES Yachts and Wiszniewski Yachts, alongside international brands such as Jeanneau, Beneteau, Saxdor, Hanse, Princess, Nimbus, Windy and Frauscher.

Among the highlights are the world debut of the Demex Eco catamaran and the new generation of the iconic Bez-2 sailing yacht. Other premieres include the Galeon 430 Explorer, Prestige 43, Aquador 400 HT, De Antonio D36 Cabin, Aquila 42, Maxus 31, as well as several electric boats, including the Lamdo eLY30, Solliner E21 Open and Prime Power 510.

Industry discussions and awards

Alongside the exhibition, the festival will host a programme of industry conferences and expert panels. The EcoPOLBOAT Forum will bring together speakers from across Europe, including Philip Easthill, Secretary General of European Boating Industry, representatives of Volvo Penta, and experts from Polish universities.

Saturday's programme includes the presentation of the Golden Bell Award of the Polish Yachting Association and a panel discussion on the 2027 World Sailing Championships, led by Tomasz Chamera, Vice President of World Sailing.

The opening day will also feature the POLBOAT Night Gala, celebrating the organisation's 20th anniversary and hosting the Gdynia POLBOAT Awards, recognising the best sailing and motor yachts exhibited during the festival.

Promoting boating

In addition to the exhibition, visitors will be able to take part in free demonstration cruises under the Become a Boater initiative, meet manufacturers and equipment suppliers, and watch water sports demonstrations, including flyboard performances. The festival also runs alongside LOTTO Gdynia Sailing Days, one of Poland's largest sailing regattas.
