The ICA marks a significant step forward in the strategic relationship between the companies, elevating industrial collaboration and paving the way for Poland’s defence industry to join Naval Group’s global supply chain. Strengthening durable industrial ties in the maritime and defence sectors, the agreement also directly implements the “Treaty on Enhanced Cooperation and Friendship” signed by France and Poland in Nancy on 9 May 2025.
Marie-Laure Bourgeois, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing at Naval Group, emphasized:
- We are very honoured to sign this cooperation with PGZ, the main defence industrial group in Poland and a key partner for Naval Group. This agreement reflects our shared ambition to build a strong, sovereign and future-ready naval industrial base in Poland, creating long-term cooperation to the benefit of both our countries.
Jan Grabowski, Vice President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., added:
- Naval Group is a global leader in the construction of both surface and submarine vessels, requiring top-tier expertise. This partnership will significantly boost the production capacity of the domestic industry, while providing skilled resources and technological capabilities to support projects for our French partner. Expanding our cooperation in the maritime domain further strengthens the strategic partnership between France and Poland.
By anchoring Poland more firmly within Europe’s naval supply chain, the agreement reinforces both nations’ commitment to future maritime security and industrial sovereignty.
