A new wave of smartphone priorities: young tech navigators set sail for fast charging
On the vast waters of technology, a new trend is setting the course for smartphone manufacturers. Younger generations—Gen Z and the youngest millennials—are increasingly abandoning the traditional concern for battery capacity, instead steering towards fast-charging technologies. It’s like having a powerful turbine on board, capable of returning to full speed within moments—without long docking times at charging ports.

According to the latest study commissioned by Infinix, a staggering 83% of smartphone users aged 18-34 consider fast charging an essential or highly important feature. In contrast, older age groups continue to prioritize battery capacity, akin to a reliable fuel reserve for long voyages.
Yet, it is the youngest passengers of the digital ocean who most often find themselves on the brink of an empty battery. One in three forgets to charge their phone, while 43% admit to frequently being in situations where their device is nearly dead and urgently needed. Despite this, rather than stockpiling energy reserves, they opt for rapid refueling through modern charging technologies.
Interestingly, nearly 40% of younger users always carry a power bank—like a portable backup fuel tank. Another 36% regularly search for charging spots in the city, reminiscent of sailors scanning the horizon for a lighthouse guiding them to safety. In this context, the priority is not just a long-lasting battery but also its efficient replenishment without downtime or delays.
Infinix, a brand known for its innovations in energy management, has been developing technologies to meet these demands for years. Their proprietary All-Round FastCharge technology acts like a modern energy navigation system—offering fast wired and wireless charging, surge protection, as well as reverse and bypass charging capabilities. It’s a comprehensive ecosystem that enables seamless movement across digital waters without the risk of an abrupt halt.
Regardless of age, one thing is certain—smartphones have become our indispensable companions on life’s journey, and energy management is the key to an uninterrupted voyage. Innovations in this field ensure that users can stay on course without fear of suddenly drifting off the digital map.
